Best-dressed pregnant lady on TV

My favorite shows tend to be summer shows, so I’ve been loving the return of Monk, Psych and especially Eureka. Eureka has been especially good this season, with the love triangle developing between Sheriff Carter, Alison Blake and Tess Fontana. But the other great thing that I’ve loved about this season is seeing Alison Blake pregnant. I know now that not all women who are pregnant appear pregnant throughout their pregnancy — heck, I’m at four months, and I simply look like I ate too much tonight — so maybe she shot this season mostly in her third trimester? But I have noticed skinny women seem to look all baby when pregnant, so that could be it too.

Anyway, Alison, played by Salli Richardson-Whitfield, has looked just awesome this season. I have been loving her maternity wardrobe. Is that a weird thing to say? I have no idea. But she has looked incredibly polished. I know that she’s got people styling her and all, but dang — the producers of Eureka should do a Web exclusive video on where the wardrobe people got her clothes. I’m seriously interested. Check her out throughout the season:

Farewell ‘Kings’

Probably because I’ve always been online, I’ve always been a fan of free things online. The more free you give me, the more I traffic your site, right? Which is probably why I always have a Gmail, Facebook and iGoogle page open. Thank goodness for tabbed browsing. Anyway, Hulu, I’m sure you know, is just the latest of the things I love that is free online, but this time, I think its something that will make returns for the people who probably didn’t want to give it away, but had to because that was just what everyone is doing right now.

First, let me just say I am monumentally disappointed that “Kings” will no longer be producing new shows. I know the story of King David superficially (I know, I know, I should know it better), but this show is just so amazing — the visuals, the acting (and when do you ever hear me exulting about the acting) and the way the show’s creators have recreated the story of David and Saul in a modern time. Seriously, you should watch it, but don’t get mad at me when you come to the end. That’s exactly how I feel right now.

Nike setting up Kobe-LeBron matchup

If you’ve seen any of the NBA playoff games, you’ve seen one of these commercials.

They’re absolutely hilarious and actually quite genius — using Muppet Kobe and Lebron? Priceless. The first one I’d seen was the one above, the 3 championship rings. I’ve been seeing guys around my station repeating the “have you seen my 3 championship rings?” line all week. Oh, but there’s more.
