Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf introduces its new yogurt drink

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

It seems yogurt drinks are the new in-thing in the drink world — I could swear that those Yakult commercials lately are advertising the same yogurt-y drink my brother used to pick up at the Asian stores 10 years ago. At any rate, my old employer Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is introducing its own yogurt drink, so of course, you can try it for free tomorrow — but only between 4 and 5 p.m. About the new drink, from the release:

The original, not too sweet Yogurt Ice Blended beverage is creamy and tangy with a hint of citrus, while the strawberry version has a smooth, sweet-tart taste along with a kick of strawberry flavor.

The mango version adds a tropical twist and creates the perfect blend of tropical sweet and sour.

The beverage is made with nonfat yogurt containing four live cultures and boasts a significant percentage of calcium, offering between 25 to 50 percent of the total recommended daily allowance in each drink. The beverage also boasts between 9 to 18 grams of protein per serving. All three flavors of the Yogurt Ice Blended beverage contain an average of 25 calories per ounce and zero grams of saturated fat and trans fat.

If you go try it, come back and tell me what its like!
