Worked the 4 a.m. shift, got woken up by a spam call during my only chance to catch a cat nap, took a kid to a doctor’s appointment and dragged all three boys to yet another school open house, where I discovered the pizza they were touting (and I had been counting on for tonight’s dinner) had sold out.
