Animal planet

You might be wondering what is the deal with me, since I haven’t been blogging and haven’t posted pictures to Flickr in a while. First off, if you’ve followed my blog with any regularity, you know I sometimes just don’t feel like it. Plus I was sick for the past week, even had to call in to work three days in a row. And, my camera had a smudge on its sensor, which required spending a weekend at a camera repair shop. (By the way, I first looked online then asked photographer friends about removing the smudge myself before finally finding Pro Camera in Thousand Oaks. They fixed it faster and cheaper than some of the places with the best reviews on Yelp.)

Day Bunny Night Bunny

Anyway, let me explain the bunnies. These are not my first bunny pictures, of course. But they are the latest. First off, the Day Bunny was spotted by Trinity in our bedroom patio, which was overgrown at the time. The bunny’s nesting in our bedroom patio finally prompted me to get the space cleared completely. The Night Bunny? I’ve been seeing him and his bunny buddies all over the grassy areas at night. They really seem to like our complex, but it makes me worry that they could draw snakes to the area.

Westside Story cats at work

I met these cats on my lot. I was walking to Subway and saw them hanging out next to one of the bungalows, and took pictures as they ambled over to the side of Entertainment Tonight. They were just chillin. They made me think of Westside Story with the way they were so cool and aloof.

Kip in a Box

Then, there’s Kip. We had bought a Diaper Genie for my buddy Moonie’s baby shower (which was aptly named “Sausage Fest” and ironic, considering he’s having a girl) and I think Kip thought the box was a gift for him. He of course got into it, even when Trinity folded the flaps closed. Imagine our alarm when we hear his big body drop through the folded over flaps. And his getting out of the folded over flaps was even funnier — as we watched TV, all of a sudden we see Kip in our peripheral vision, claws hooked onto the arm of the loveseat, doing a pull up out of the box. It was comedy.
