Flavor you can believe in!

Flavor you can believe in!

Are you for a Whirl of Change? Or are you all about the Straight Talk Crunch?

Trin and I had gone into Baskin Robbins yesterday and noticed these partisan flavors. Apparently, this is something Baskins does with every election (although I don’t remember, but that could’ve just been a young me, not paying attention). I do recall certain flavors for other special events, like the World Series.

We’ve always shown our patriotic colors with special Presidential Election Flavors. In 1960, the nation elected JFK while we savored delicious Candi-Date Ice Cream. In 1996, we scooped up Saxy Candidate when Bill Clinton was elected.

Interested in the the Democratic Whirl of Change? It is:

Peanut-Nougat ice cream whirled with chunks of chocolate-covered peanut brittle and a caramel ribbon.

Ah, but if you’re for the Republican Straight Talk and Crunch then you’re for:

Caramel ribbon, chocolate pieces, candy red states and crunchy mixed nuts swirled into White Chocolate ice cream.

If you’re wondering, I opted for neither. I ended up getting World Class Chocolate and Cookies and Cream. Both partisan ice creams seemed just a little too complicated for me.

Hm. Ice cream imitates life. Poetic. And tasty, too!
