Kip vs. the handle bag

Kip

Here’s the story: Monday morning, after staying out all day (up early to go to church, spent most of the night hanging out with friends, coming home about 1:30 a.m.), Trin and I were awakened by a crash in the kitchen at about 6 a.m. I freak out, thinking Kip has somehow toppled the new bookshelf next to the dining room table and vault myself out of bed, bleary-eyed. Turns out, Kip had been sticking his big head in my lunch bag, in which my lunch spilled Saturday night (so of course he could smell it, but he must stick his head in any bag nonetheless). And in sticking his big head in my lunch bag, got it stuck in one of the handles. Probably trying to maneuver it off his neck, he likely backed into the towel holder, knocking it off the counter and causing the crash that jolted us awake. Seriously, that’s the story.

I left it on because I thought it was hilarious, but also for him to learn that sticking his head in things is not smart and often leads to things stuck around his neck.

Trinity kept saying that he thought Kip looked a little like a beggar, and maybe we could scrawl “will cuddle for food” on the paper. I thought jailhouse numbers would have been more appropriate.
