Denver mourns its flying dog

I got wind of this via an email to the entire CBS 2/KCAL 9 staff from one of our helicopter reporters, Alex Calder. Rob Marshall, who used to fly Sky Nine (pictured to the left in yellow) years ago, had to make the tough decision to put down his canine companion of 12 years, known to all of Denver as Dylan the Flying Dog. Dylan had had one leg amputated because of bone cancer and his continually declining health led to the tough decision.

Dylan’s passing is noted here, where you can watch the obituary video (which is long but a total tearjerker), look at pictures of the handsome pup, plus ways to leave a note of condolence to Rob Marshall or make a donation to the organizations that cared for Dylan.
