Home is where the (Agoura) hills are

I apparently have a talent for finding places to rent with fabulous views. I once found a place for my sister right on Pacific Coast Highway. Then, of course, the place we lived in Monterey Hills had that lovely peaceful view off our balcony. And now, we have a beautifully landscaped patio with huge trees visible beyond the fence.

Finding a place with a nice view was a big deal to me, to be quite honest. I mean, even at home, I spend a lot of time on the computer and from time to time, I need something beautiful to look at that’s off the screen. Now, we just need to get some blinds for when we watch TV, since we have it right in the corner to the left of the patio door…

that make left turnsThis is our fifth day in the new place. So far, I’ve noticed that pretty much everyone is lax about their driving – 1) the teenagers from the right lane when they’re off from their high school classes for lunch, 2) the older drivers with their boat-like cars and 3) the mid-range aged drivers who are so busy talking on their cell phones they can’t drive properly. But then again, I guess that’s every suburb. Damn. We live in the suburbs!

We have a huge list of things to buy now that we’re moved – blinds, curtains, a vacuum, etc. Plus we have to give up Trin’s beloved DirecTV in order to get TimeWarner Cable. Not by choice, mind you – only because I cannot get my DSL with AT&T/SBCGlobal anymore and have to get high-speed internet with TimeWarner. *sigh* So much for that new DirecTV dish they installed…
