Great timing

It figures that right when we began looking for a new place, that’s when rents are going sky high. I kind of knew that the areas and the places we’ve been looking at have been pretty good, yet on the low end of the spectrum, but I didn’t know just how much until LA Biz Observed laid it all out:

Most expensive rentals (past 90 days)1. Pacific Palisades $4,094
2. Malibu $3,796
3. Bel Air $3,462
4. Beverlywood $2,757
5. Venice $2,735
6. Beverly Hills $2,694
7. Marina Del Rey $2,656
8. Woodland Hills $2,638
9. Manhattan Beach $2,614
10. Palos Verdes $2,532
11. Playa Del Rey $2,530
12. Agoura Hills $2,504
13. Brentwood $2,429
14. Calabasas $2,420
15. Thousand Oaks $2,417
16. Santa Monica $2,357
17. Encino $2,270
18. Granada Hills $2,251
19. Hancock Park $2,220
20. Toluca Lake $2,205

And lucky us, every single area (except for Westlake Village, curiously enough) we’ve been looking in (marked in bold) is on that list. Woohoo!

  1. Have you looked at a fixer upper in La Conchita?

    (just kidding)

New home sales at a 15-year low….prices are bound to start dropping?
