Second day of testimony

So this would be my third day of exploring downtown.

I know, I know – I have lived in the Los Angeles region all my life. I grew up in Hacienda Heights and spend quite a bit of time on Vermont near Pico at my father’s dental office, and later at the end of Melrose, where he had a later office. When I was in high school, I was a regular fixture in the flower district. Now, I work in Hollywood. So, technically, I’m not a tourist, yet, I act like one. I know. Trinity agrees. I’m a dork.

Anyway, here are my favorite pictures from my jaunt today. For more, check out the Flickr stream.

By the way, today was a bit unusual also, in that my past literally caught up with me. First, as I got off the escalators on the wrong floor, I ran into someone from high school. Her name is Liz Diaz and it turns out she works there, in the civil filings office. Oh, if I had only known she worked there when I was a reporter….

I also ran into my former coworker Robert Chacon as I was on my way home from the Y. I was making a left and saw him about to make a left to my left, it that makes any sense. We talked a bit, catching up on personal and professional stuff…..

It’s good to see old friends.
