Such a homebody

I got off work a little after 11 p.m. and was pretty worn out – it had been a busy night, plus I got thrown some curve balls just an hour or so before I was supposed to leave for the night. Everything seemed to work out though, and I was gladly rolling my neck as I sat for a light along Sunset Boulevard when I noticed a girl in the next lane gesturing that she wanted to ask me a question.

So I rolled down my window.

“Do you know where the [forgot the name] club is?”

I looked at her blankly and nearly gestured to my lack of makeup, styled hair and my husband’s jean jacket – all signs that I was not exactly the clubbing type. “No, sorry.”

Ugh. I’m such a geek. All I do is stay home, watch movies, CSI, whatever else my husband records and mess around online. And play with Kip.

Speaking of online, I must ‘fess up. This was my handiwork. Now, don’t get me wrong – I am a news junkie through and through. But I guess my competitive streak is coming out, in my wanting to beat the other CBS sites in terms of traffic. We are going to do millions within our first month, dammit! And I know that people want to tour the Playboy Mansion, so yes – I played it up big, and I chose the thumbnail strategically. I’m just being a good online news producer.

  1. It’s funny. I kind of avoided the Playboy shoot. I’ve been to the mansion for stories before, so it’s less of a thrill for me now. Plus, I wanted to get home on time. I ended up helping to cover the prostitution sting in Van Nuys and worked late.

I think there’s some kind of karma thing going on, but I can’t figure it out.

  2. Hey girl,
Nice to see you’re back. I’ll keep an eye on you now that I know where you are.

Tammy and I both have blogs, a photo competition so to speak.

    My blog is

We have a picture of the day contest using these hideous $10 cameras called Holgas. Of course the addition of the $100 polaroid back is hideous but that’s what we’re shooting.

    come check us out sometime.

I hope the job is going well and you’re much happier now than you were at, well, you know where.

    Stay in touch,
