I’ve been sort of at a loss as to what I want to do with the design of the site. But I figured, before I get all obsessed with the layout, color and design of the site, I’m going to finish putting my clips online.
At first, I was going to make my clips PDF files, but they would’ve ended up being huge downloads, with my front page with jumps being in the realm of 8MB or more. So, I opened each one up in Photoshop. Since Photoshop only allows you to open up PDFs one page at a time, I imported the second page, then saved each one via the “Save for Web” option. I think they turned out pretty well, and I’m going to check them on a PC when I get to work tomorrow. Check them out yourself. If clips are your thing, check back again soon because I intend of putting up my entire clip package.
Otherwise, I’m still trying to figure out what I want to do with my template. The blogger templates are cool, but I tend to like a simple graphic or picture that’s fixed on the page, while the text slides over it. That’s how my last site was designed, anyway, and yes, that was all me. In researching blog templates, I found Angie McKaig’s very useful list of blog template sites, but unfortunately, a lot of them are defunct. (Sheesh, I’ve been online a long time.) Anyone have any advice of where to learn how to design a template for blogger?
